Osteopathy uses hands-on manipulation of the body to restore health and function, helping to alleviate pain and discomfort. From common back, shoulder and neck pain due to working from home, bad posture and hunching over laptops, to arthritis, sports injuries and repetitive strains.
Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. It is more in-depth and can offer more diagnostic information and treatment options compared to sports massage.
We use a wide variety of treatment modalities that we tailor to suit you. These can include, massage, HVT (manipulation), articulation, dry needling / medical acupuncture, TENs machine, Exercise and rehabilitation programmes and lifestyle advice.
Sports massage is a form of soft tissue mobilisation. It can be applied in a sporting and non-sporting context, it involves a wide range of techniques that include effleurage, kneading and trigger pointing. A sports massage is used for general relaxation of the muscular skeletal system as well as being directed towards any problem areas. Sports massage helps relieve muscular tension, break down adhesion's, mobilise soft tissues and reduce pain.
